my face is not my own
An adolescent girl competes with her jealous mother to remind her memory-impaired grandmother of the bond they once shared.
As the producer on this project, Jake was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production, including budgeting, scheduling, and team management. Despite the abundance of production hurdles, Jake navigated and overcame a variety of obstacles. The film included an underwater scene, partial nudity, and a minor cast member, which required significant additional paperwork and coordination, including work permits and studio teachers, and altered available work hours. Jake also worked closely with the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and handled all related paperwork. The film was shot on location at three different locations. The film required a picture car that had moving scenes, and stationary scenes that were filmed on an LED wall, which was a first for The Dodge School of Film and Media Arts. Jake also had to coordinate with insurance providers for different drivers of the picture car, production trucks, and camera rentals. Despite these challenges, Jake's strong leadership and attention to detail helped ensure the film was completed on time and even $7,000 under budget.
In addition to his role as producer, Jake also played an important role in capturing the behind-the-scenes moments of the production. Throughout the filming process, he took photographs of the cast and crew that gave an insight into the production. In order to ensure that all important moments were captured, Jake delegated a production assistant (PA) to second shoot with him, allowing him to be present in other areas of the production when necessary. This delegation of responsibility helped to be certain that all important moments were captured, and that the behind-the-scenes photographs were comprehensive and representative of the entire production process. Jake's and his teams' attention to detail and dedication to capturing the behind-the-scenes elements of the production helped to further enhance the overall success of the film.
