ABOUT JAKE
Jake Westby is a creative professional with a passion for film and photography. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Producing at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. When he worked at Andrew Lauren Productions, he received, organized and covered several scripts a week, completed coverage, talent lists and Sundance Festival considerations. Additionally, he composed development notes on current company projects and pieces of heavy consideration, and maintained a close relationship with superiors and company connections.
As a Professional Photographer, Jake has successfully collaborated with a variety of personalities and work styles, planned and executed photographic needs and events, and explained price and package details to clients. Jake has also been involved in various student productions of Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, where he served as Producer, Unit Production Manager and Location Manager. He composed and revised a budget, scheduled and managed weekly production meetings, oversaw a team of 25+ and incorporated new Covid-19 protocol into production planning and execution.
Jake is a proficient user of various software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Microsoft Office, Google Suite and Final Draft. He is also skilled in Social Media Marketing and Movie Magic Scheduling, Budgeting.
Jake Westby is a talented writer who is currently working on several exciting projects. One of which is a series that is finished and in talks to be sold. He also has a feature film in the works, which is being written and produced through the use of Unreal Engine. In addition to these projects, Jake has two other pilot scripts ready for sale, and is currently in the process of developing two trailers to secure funding for these projects. Jake's ability to juggle multiple projects and his dedication to his craft are evident in the diversity and quality of his writing.
